GES-100 Edge-Stress Meter – Verify Temper Quality with portable Glass Edge Stress Polarimeter

GES-100

GES-100 Edge-Stress Meter

The standard GES-100 is the ideal tool for measuring stress at the glass edge in accordance with ASTM Test Method C1279,  Procedure B (Double Wedge). It shows uniform retardation over the entire field of field and includes a microscope, double-wedge compensator, LED light source, calibration plate and certification documents.

Generally used for tempered glass applications by customers in the architectural glass industry.

Also available with high-sensitivity (HS) measuring wedge/compensator for low-stress, annealed glass.

GES-100

GES-100-MWA Edge-Stress Meter

The GES-100-MWA measures stress at the glass edge in accordance with ASTM Test Method C1279,  Procedure B (Single Wedge). This model shows variable retardation over the entire field of view for measuring both tension and compression. It includes a microscope, single-wedge compensator, LED light source, calibration plate and certification documents.

Because this instrument can measure tension AND compression, it is generally the instrument of choice for measuring windshields and other automotive glass

Also available with high-sensitivity (HS) measuring wedge/compensator for low-stress, annealed glass.
